Tasks / Responsibilities
• Able to prepare and cook dishes as per company recipes and standards
• Manage a specific section in the kitchen
Coordinate with other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth workflow and timely service
• Keep food safety and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation
• Responsible for cleanliness and organizing the assigned stores/s
• Taking part of crew and kitchen loading
• Participate in all safety drills
• Perform other duties as instructed by the supervisor, e.g., luggage service, loading, and
garbage off-loading
• Assist other departments as per supervisor’s instructions
• Specialty chef in charge of cold food items and storage
• Taking part of crew food preparation
• Responsible for the preparation of cold station in the kitchen, which can include salads, cold
soups, canapés and/or appetizers
• Cold kitchen chef is responsible for standing orders for main courses
Requirements
• A completed apprenticeship or specialized training in hospitality is required
• Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in a comparable position
• Professional experience in 4* or 5* operations hotel or cruise ships is an advantage
• Ability to cook in one station independently
• Able to adapt to the daily changes on menu
• Active assistance of preparing daily meals
• At least basic knowledge about HACCP standards
• Familiar with a multicultural working environment
• Familiar with travelling in Europe independently
• Minimum strong basic English or German language skills
