Tasks / Responsibilities
• Relieving the Executive Chef if requested
• Assisting the Executive Chef in ordering food supplies
• Assisting the team in cooking during day and evening service
• Providing continuous training to the kitchen staff
• Maintaining impeccable cleanliness, hygiene, and tidiness in the kitchen
• Participating in the training programs
• Follows all HACCP procedures as set by the company and sets training accordingly for all galley
personnel
• Responsible for the overall direction, supervision, training, and personal conduct of all
employees assigned to the kitchen operation.
• Cooking in all sections and according to specified recipes
Requirements
• River ship experience necessary, land experience will not be enough is similar position
• At least three (3) years in the cruise ship industry required in this position
• Must be skilled in every part of international cooking
• Ability to cook in one station independently
• Able to adapt to the daily changes on menu
• Active assistance of preparing daily meals
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Familiar with a multicultural working environment
• Familiar with travelling in Europe independently
• Good English skills are required
